11-24-11 Until The End

Today's Reading: Acts 27-28

Acts 28:29–31
29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves. 30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Luke ended his book before Paul’s case had been heard, so he could not give us the results of the trial. We have every reason to believe that Paul was indeed released and that he resumed his ministry, probably traveling as far as Spain. Wherever he went, he sought to bring Jews and Gentiles to faith in Jesus Christ.

As a missionary I am excited and glad to offer my entire life to God’s service.  For me there is no retirement package and house on the lake.  I plan to burn out for Jesus.  Glorifying Him with my entire life should be a lifelong pursuit.  Wherever I go I want to bring people to Christ also. The is the heartbeat of the mission.

Tomorrow's Reading: Rom 1-3
