And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.


/Today's Meditation: 
God’s people are more endangered by the charms of a smiling world than by the terrors of a frowning world. The daughters of Moab have conquered many strong men who could not be conquered by the sword.
